While his paintings are depicted by ransom brushstrokes, or a series of “lucky” accidents, the opposite is true for his sculptures, in which the process of deforming the plastic reveals the mystery of beauty, hidden in the most mundane objects.
The transformation reminds the author of the draperies in the sculptures of old masters, where delicacy and rigor become “one” in the hands of the creator. The balance between them results in an artistic completeness although the artist remains always uncertain.
The exhibition will remain open on Gallery 70 until October 19.
