For its opening ceremony at Toptani Center , Gallery70 has selected Jon Kraja’s cycle “My shades” . The works displayed include original paintings, acrylic in canvas, presented for the first time to the public and graphics artworks on paper. While asked about his inspiration for this cycle, the artist says “these artworks are like the reflection of human ideas twisted in wires and thoughts moving under the vice of lighting.. .The unconscious pours over the planets, over the bodies and the celestial creatures that I ignore the names . Than it illuminates me quietly like a shade in the sleeping room “ . While exploring this cycle Ardian Lama says “..Lebenitz imagined that inside every drop of water existed a whole universe and every drop of water inside this universe held other universes and so on in infinity. Every fragment of Jon Kraja’s paintings seems to have this fractal character where the closer you look, the more micro universes you discover”. The public will discover this universe in Gallery 70.

Jon Kraja is born in 1970 in Tirana, Albania where graduated from the Arts Academy. He has developed an original style mostly based on autodidact research. His works are featured in collective and personal exhibitions, both in Albania and abroad: Switzerland, Germany, USA, France and Netherlands .To discover more about the artist http://jonikraja.com
