“My research in art is a sort of archeology of memories and scars, timeless and spaceless. Painting to me is like exploring inside the mind, without restrictions while searching for the images. What matters most in my paintings is the image itself, especially its process of manifestation. Initially perceived in a purely aesthetic aspect, these images intensify and exhibit their leading subjects. I use the images as if I were a storyteller where every image comes out as a statement of my life producing color and silent melancholia. My works speak for the moment, before or after the moment of act. An image for me can only tell a part of itself pushing us towards multiple interpretations and to me this is a quite interesting challenge because it enables to paint an authentic image. Sometimes I believe that my paintings inhale memories and desires creating real images that must somewhere exist.”
