“Running out of water” is an artwork composed of ten images in which three elements are present: a lifeless fish, an empty bottle, and water (the sea).The whole situation of this work is at the same time, in the last light of the sunset. The project talks about water, but in both subjects the water is not present. The bottle, which has been invented to carry water is empty and the fish, which has all its existence water-related, can no longer carry water or life.

It is the time that breaks this vital relationship. Dehydration, which happens with its passage, creates the momentum of this project.

Ergys Zhabjaku (1984, Shkoder, Albania) is a professional photographer based in Tirana, Albania. He is cofounder at photographic studio #16161d . Ergys Zhabjaku graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, in Set Designer and Costume Designer Department and has finished the second level of studies at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Art Studies, in Ethnology-Folklore branch. He has always exercised photography as medium for his projects. His work encompasses painting, graphics, and mainly photography. Actually he is professor at the European University of Tirana.
